BUILDING UP THE PARATROOPER
Updated 20.02.00
Paratrooper load
Paratrooper load consists of two trailers.
Centre
One of the trailers contains the central mast and
the hydraulics to lift it up.
Setting up the centre
The mast has just been raised up. The trailer is pulled
out of the way.
Levelling the mast
Packing is installed under the legs in order to level the frame.
Note the winch at the top of the central hub. The ladders are removed when the work is over.
Paybox
The paybox is lifted down. The electricity
is connected at the early stage since the main engine must be operated
during the assembly.
Seats
Seats are still waiting for the assembly.
Sweeps are installed
Radial arms are lifted by the winch and are mounted
immediately to the central hub.
More sweeps are installed
Other parts of the wheel structure
When all the sweeps are assembled, the cow horns,
braces and tie bars are attached next.
Joint
This is a typical joint of the amusement park rides.
A stud is placed through the parts. The cotter pin at the lower end
of the stud acts as a safety clamp. No nuts are used.
The frame is ready
Light panels
The lights are separate parts in this paratooper.
Installation of the lights under way
Installing the cars
When the lights are attached, the passenger cars are built up.
They include seats, car supports and canopies.
Support arrangement
When all the car supports are installed, the seats are
attached to the hole at the lower end of the support.
Stubs behind the seat
The stubs are attached to the support rods.

Securing the seats
Seats are the only parts that are secured by the nuts.
Platform
The platform is built up next. It consists of metal framework
and wooden boards.
